Bishop Edir Macedo Explains What It Means To Be the Glory of God

The Lord Jesus said:
“You are the light of the world..” Matthew 5:14

The devil knew and contemplated the Glory of God in the heavens. The same that today is reflected in the man who was enlightened with the Holy Spirit. That is why he is so jealous and tries to extinguish those who have become the Glory of God on earth.

Evil can see that light, the Glory of God in us he was once illuminated too when he lived in the heavens. But if that light is off, it’s useless.

So, how does he try to turn off that lights?
Making the person exchange the Glory of God for the glory of the world.
“Again, the devil took Him up on an exceedingly high mountain and showed Him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory. And he said to Him, “All these things I will give You if You will fall and worship me.”

Then Jesus said to him, “Away with you, Satan! For it is written,’ You shall worship the Lord your God, and Him only you shall serve.” Matthew 4:8-10

The Lord Jesus did not exchange the Glory of God that was in Him for that offer by the tempter.
However, many have changed and stopped serving God to serve themselves, the word, and the devil.

Those who decide to give and also be the Glory of God here on this earth, will one day be gathered there in the heavens, where the devil cannot go.

“After these things I hear a loud voice of the great multitude in heaven, saying, ” Alleluia! Salvation and glory and honor and power belong to the Lord our God!” Revelation 19:1
