Help is at hand

UNISOCIAL: Ohio & South Carolina

UniSocial is active in helping communities in over 300 locations across the United States. This group of volunteers only have one goal; to help people get through tough times and spread hope to the communities that need it the most. Unisocial provides food, water, toiletries, and most importantly, spiritual counseling and support.

Reports have shown that Ohio is one of the states that was greatly impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. About 488,000 people in Ohio and West Virginia lost their Jobs (Resource). One-in-four adults are having issues paying their expenses. (Pew Research Center) Since March, South Carolina has been experiencing a decline in workers of 280,000 (The State). As COVID-19 cases in the United States are declining, there are still many who are having a hard time getting back on their feet. Many have not been able to provide for their families and are relying on different organizations for support and donations. Despite the circumstances, the UniSocial team in South Carolina was ready to serve the people.
