Words of Faith
The Bible says: So are the ways of everyone who is greedy for gain; It takes away the life of its owners. (Proverbs 1:19). This means that greed drives anyone to hell.
Many people start well in the faith, in the first love, but, as time goes by, they become attached to the things of life. There are those who want glory, to be praised, adored, but that belongs only to God. That is how the devil became an angel of darkness.
There are also those who desire what belongs to others, but one of the commandments says: you shall not covet anything that belongs to your neighbor. Everything that exists can be achieved with sacrifices and struggles and nothing should be a cause for worship and adoration. If we cultivate this greed that we want with glory, wealth or achievement, that same god we worship will lead us to hell.
It is necessary to understand that nothing we have in this life is ours and that everything belongs to God. He lends us everything that is His and when we leave this world everything will be in Him.
That is why we must take care so we don’t become a greedy person, who wants something that others have. We should not be envious of anyone, but be satisfied with what God lends us.
