There are many religions in the world, so many that there is only an estimate of how many exist. According to Wikipedia, there is approximately 4,200 religions in the world. Each religion has its own beliefs and practices making them unique from among the rest. At times there may be similar principles and belief among religions but other religions differentiate completely. For example, the Omnism religion believes that all religions lead to the truth. That not only one religion is correct but in fact all the religions lead to the correct path. The omnist church is an ecumenical institution, they strongly believe in the unity of all the religions. Omnist’s adapt values and ideas from each religion that they see is good for their spirituality and well-being. With this being said, no Omnist will believe the same way; it differs according to each believer’s personal decision. What all Omnist’s indeed have in common is their liberal way in
finding the truth.
Unlike the omnist church, the Universal Church believes in the Lord Jesus Christ and through repentance we are able to reach eternal salvation. Instead of believing that all religions lead to the truth, we believe that the Lord Jesus Christ is the truth. Everything that is practiced in the UCKG, abides by the word of God. There is a verse in the Bible that shows the way:
Jesus answered “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me” John 14:6.
Knowing that the Lord Jesus is the way, the UCKG respects and welcomes people from different religious backgrounds who are in search of finding the way. People who may be troubled by hardships in life, the Universal Church will reach out and help those in need regardless of their religion, sexual orientation, race, age, etc.
John 6:37 “All those the Father gives me will come to me, and whoever comes to me I will never drive away.”
In this verse we see that even the Lord Jesus, himself says that he will not turn anyone away. He also didn’t mention a religion or denomination to only come to him; all he said was “whoever comes to me I will never drive away”. To find the truth and the reason of your existence could be a lonely road where confusion, doubt and many questions may arise, but in the UCKG you’ll find answers to your questions.
