For Those Who Feel Alone1 min read

There are times in life when you are not asking for much; all you want is someone to ‘lend you an ear’. Perhaps you are feeling this way right now – you feel so alone and just want someone who is willing to listen..

Would you believe me if I told you that Jesus knows first-hand how you are feeling?

Yes He does, He has felt like that before.

When Jesus was on the cross he cried out and said; “My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?” At that moment, He felt all alone. Remember that His disciples had denied Him, doubted Him, and ran away from Him, the people whom He had healed and helped also ran away, and due to the sacrifice of taking up all our sins, even God was far from Him. There He was, all alone.

Though He was (and is) the Son of God Most High, in that moment He was alone.

Maybe this is how you feel right now, but the Lord is telling you:

“…I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones.” Isaiah 57:15

The Lord is here for you who whose spirit is crushed within you. He wants to revive your spirit!

Don’t look at Him as being far from you! He is closer than you think, and is ready to revive and renew your entire heart. Don’t stay silent. Cry out to Him right where you are at this very moment, and He will hear you.
