We know that prayer is the keystone in every person’s life. To pray is to speak with God and this is the essential communication so that there is intimacy between man and the Most High. The “Lord’s Prayer” prayer is the best known of the Bible because it was taught to the disciples by Jesus, that says: “when you pray pray in this manner”. But why is this prayer so important?

After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil:
For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

What God seeks is not a half-hour prayer, but a true, sincere, and prayerful prayer that believes in the Word. It is intelligent prayer based on the Word of God. He says: when you pray pray in this manner

Check out the interpretation of the “Lord’s Prayer” Prayer:

“Our Father which art in heaven” – Everything in this prayer, every word has a reason for being and serves as a model for our prayers. So when He says “Our Father,” this prayer is of a Son of God, but are all sons of God?

Son of God is everyone who believes in the Lord Jesus, in the book of John, chapter 1, mentions that all who believed in the Lord Jesus and received Him, also received the power to become children of God. When a person is born, he is a creature, an extension of creation. And for the person to become God’s daughter, she has to recognize Him as Father.

“Hallowed be Thy name” – How do we sanctify the name of God? Sanctification means separation to the glory of God. We must honor and sanctify the name of our God, especially with our witness.

“Thy Kingdom come” – that is to say: I long to enter into the Kingdom of God, I long for the Kingdom of God to come to this earth, to my life.

“Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven” – in the kingdom it is not my will, it is the will of the King. The Son himself submitted to the will of the Father; that is what God seeks in His servants. So when you are praying the “Our Father,” keep the Will of God in mind. In our prayers we have to submit our requests to His will.

“Give us this day our daily bread” – We have to pray daily and specifically in the morning. Because no one will pray for ‘our daily bread’ at bedtime. Our bread represents all our needs, so you must ask for direction, willingness, intelligence to solve problems.

“And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors” – we have to forgive those who offend us. This is the part of the prayer that we should do at the end of the day when we are getting ready to sleep. It is the prayer of cleansing and spiritual maintenance.

“And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil” – Temptation is the opportunity and the will to sin. Sometimes you are not thinking about sinning, but the opportunity presents itself, someone provokes you, a situation appears. But if you are in the spirit of prayer, as Jesus taught, then you do not fall into temptation. This is a prayer that we have to do every day, for the deliverance from evil.

“For Thine is the kingdom, the power, and the glory forever. Amen. “– Finally, all honor and glory must be given to the Lord Jesus. Follow this model of prayer.
