None of us enjoys the outlook of waiting for God’s timing when we are in the midst of a painful trial. It’s hard to see beyond our impossible circumstances and believe that God is working everything out. It is especially difficult when the enemy uses our emotions to make us think that we have no hope and no control over the problems. What to do in situations like these?
“Therefore it is of faith that it might be according to grace, so that the promise might be sure to all the seed, not only to those who are of the law, but also to those who are of the faith of Abraham, who is the father of us all… who, contrary to hope, in hope believed, so that he became the father of many nations, according to what was spoken, ‘So shall your descendants be.’ And not being weak in faith, he did not consider his own body, already dead (since he was about a hundred years old), and the deadness of Sarah’s womb. He did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith…” (Romans 4:16-20)
Keep your eyes on Jesus and focus on what is true and right. Do not try to put “makeup” on your problems and deceive yourself, accepting the lies of Satan and rejecting the reality. The lies of Satan do not have power to steal your joy, so do not willingly give this permission to him. Although God’s ways may be hard to figure out, remember that He brought you this far and He’s more than able to get you to the finish line.
