God Doesn’t Look at the Color of Your Skin
I am a man.
I am a woman.
I have no education.
I’m coming from a poor place.
I have no support system nobody gives me an opportunity I am black, white, pink, yellow, green…
And the list goes on…
What’s your reason? What has been stopping you from reaching your goals?
If you have already drawn up your ‘I don’t succeed because…’ list, then I’m about to touch a nerve! Here is the real reason that you don’t succeed – your biggest problem:Your biggest problem isn’t your background or that people don’t trust in you; it’s that you don’t trust in yourself. You don’t give yourself the chance to thrive.
Now, before you write me off, think back to the last time you had a good idea or made plans for your future. Instead of acting on it, you first went to person A, B, C, and D for their opinions. Why? Because you need an external opinions to tell you that you can do it perhaps your ‘colorful past’ has left people second guessing your intentions and doubting your character. Maybe you really are coming from a negative past and because of the cards you have been dealt, it seems impossible that things can change – that you can change. But none of that matters. Even if nobody believes in you, God does. He believes in you and enables you to change your own perception. He gives you a new mindset.
“But Bishop, you don’t know where I’m coming from!” That’s right. I don’t. But I do know the One that can change your life. I know that nothing is impossible for Him. God doesn’t look at the color of your skin or the shape of body, he looks at your soul.
Turn your life over to God today; trust in Him; He will never let you down. He works inside of you, taking away all insecurities and negative attitudes, and He gives you the confidence to go ahead and fight for what you want.
“Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid; for the Lord your God, He is the One who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you.” (Deuteronomy 31:6)Stop looking for excuses. Trust in God, but also believe in yourself.
Instead of saying, “I don’t succeed because…”, start saying, “I will succeed because of He who dwells inside of me.”
